Love and Marriage in Sixteenth-Century France

Most of the women who ever lived left no trace on the record of history; we know little of their anxieties, hopes, and desires. But in this talk, Professor Suzannah Lipscomb brings us stories of ordinary women from sixteenth-century France to reveal insights into their everyday lives, and how their dreams of love and marriage were realized or shattered.
